(Photo courtesy of Resident Culture Brewing) Fermental will host its inaugural brewery feature of 2021, with a tap takeover by Resident Culture Brewing Co. of Charlotte on Saturday, May 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. at 7250-B Market Street in Wilmington.
Founded in 2017, Resident Culture is a family-owned and operated brewery concentrating on lagers, sour ales and hoppy beers.
Organizers say the afternoon with Resident Culture Brewing is part of a series of brewery features at Fermental offering an opportunity for guests to meet brewery staff, ask questions, sample draft selections and enjoy brewery giveaways, as well as food trucks and live music.

By Christina Haley O Neal, posted May 18, 2021 New Hanover County and the city of Wilmington are looking at funding several economic development items for the next fiscal year.
New Hanover County Commissioners were presented with the county’s $461 million recommended budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 in a meeting Tuesday. The budget shows an increase of 15.5% from the FY 2020â21 adopted budget.
The budget includes money for several organizations that have been earmarked funding to help promote job creation and private investment. Those organizations include Wilmington Business Development (WBD), Wilmington Downtown Inc. (WDI), Wilmington Regional Film Commission and the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.
