By Liz Holbrook Amanda Boyd and Gene Robertson MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — One person is in jail and authorities are looking for another in an investigation into the death of a child. A release from Lincoln County Sheriff Ken Schneider says that 25-year-old Cody Gene Robertson has been arrested in the 6-month investigation into the death of a child. A warrant was issued for 22-year-old Amber Paige Boyd. She was found taken into custody during a traffic stop in Merrill on Wednesday evening. Robertson was taken into custody on Wednesday for the incident that happened in November of 2020 at a Town of Corning home. According to court documents, Boyd called the police on November 12th saying her baby wasn’t breathing. Police say the child had numerous bruises on his face, head, arms, and legs and appeared to have makeup covering scabs on his head.
