MSI Launches 11th Gen Intel Rocket Lake Powered Gaming Desktop PCs With NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 GPUs & Resizable BAR Support May 4, 2021 04:03 EDT
MSI has announced the launch of its latest Gaming Desktop PCs which feature Intel 11th Gen Rocket Lake CPUs along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 GPUs. Interestingly, the gaming desktops feature support for Resizable BAR too which delivers a 5-10% performance increase over PCs prebuilt PCs without BAR support.
MSI s Latest Gaming Desktop PCs Feature Intel 11th Gen CPUs, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 GPUs & Resizable BAR Support
The MSI 11th Gen Desktop Gaming PCs come in various shapes and sizes from compact to ITX solutions. The CPUs are configurable up to an Intel Core i9-11900K Desktop CPU and NVIDIA s Geforce RTX 3090 graphics cards. The top model includes the MEG Aegis Ti5 and MEG Trident X that are equipped with an MSI Z590 motherboard that supports up to the Core i9-11900K CPU & NVIDIA s GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards.
+12.3%
As you can see from the results above, the Core i9-10900K beats out the Core i9-11900K on almost every title, with a few exceptions where performance was equal and one moment where the 11900K performed better than the 10900K.
Sometimes you may see fluctuations in performance between CPUs, which can result in just a few percent difference going either way. However, here you can clearly see that the 10900K is faster than the 11900K in almost every title, and even achieves performance up to 25% better than the 11900K at 1080p.
At 4K the performance difference is not as noticeable, but still significant enough, 1080p is where the 10900K clearly sees the most wins and considering it is still by far the most popular resolution amongst gamers, that matters a lot.

We have just received interesting information regarding ASUS s M.2 slot & storage devices support on its Intel B560 chipset-based motherboards. It looks like compared to other vendors, ASUS B560 motherboards have limited M.2 support capabilities as we can tell from the data obtained below.
ASUS B560 Motherboards Lack Proper M.2 Slot Storage Capabilities Versus Other Board Makers
After missing out on the PCIe Gen 4.0 bandwagon on its Z490 motherboards and also initially denying Z390 & Z370 motherboard owners support for Resizable BAR (added later), ASUS has another controversy surrounding its latest Intel B560 lineup of motherboards. From what we managed to gather, the main issue is due to how the PCIe switch handles the first M.2 slots on Intel s 10th & 11th Gen CPUs.

Intel s 11th Gen Rocket Lake desktop CPUs including the Core i9-11900K & the Core i5-11600K are now available in pre-binned flavors over at Silicon Lottery. The Intel 11th Gen family launched last month for the latest Z590 platform and while it was based on the old 14nm architecture, the CPUs did feature a brand new architecture which brought decent performance gains.
Intel Core i9-11900K 8 Core & Core i5-11600K 6 Core CPUs Available In Pre-Binned Flavors - Up To 5.1 GHz Clocks For $879.99 US
Unlike AMD, whose Ryzen 5000 CPU family is currently out of stock due to huge demand & limited units circulating the retail channel, Intel has a slight advantage in supply due to the use of its 14nm process node which is in its final and most mature state its ever been and producing Rocket Lake CPUs on it isn t much of a deal. Although there are still some shortages when it comes to the high-end parts which are due to scalpers and 3rd party sellers hiking up the pr
