Tabari Elerson, 46, of Grand Blanc, has been arraigned on seven additional counts of criminal sexual conduct after two women came forward after they saw he was caught during a Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team, or GHOST, operation in April.

The last Thetford Township officer resigned around the end of October or early November, according to Thetford Township Supervisor Rachel Stanke. It’s now up to the Thetford Township Board of Trustees, Stanke said, to determine the future of the department. “The process would be that it gets brought to the board meeting, but there’s been some other things we’ve been trying to wrap up as well, so it hasn’t made it to the agenda yet,” Stanke said.

Three of the nine commissioners promoted the actions at a news conference Monday, May 10, two days before a vote on the resolution is scheduled. “Genesee County’s fallen officers will never be forgotten, nor will their services to their respective communities,” the resolution says in part. “By choosing to commit themselves to law enforcement, these brave individuals answered the call for service and willingly put their lives in jeopardy.”
