Another Police Recruit Dies After Collapsing Police Recruitment exercise in February 2021. A second recruit in the ongoing police recruitment exercise died on Wednesday, February 24, after developing health complications during the exercise in Webuye, Bungoma County. The 24-year-old reportedly collapsed on Monday, February 22, after taking part in a race and completing three laps. The recruit was attended to by medical officers from the police service before being admitted to Webuye Referral Hospital. He passed on two days later at the facility. The hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Simon Kisaka stated that the youth may have died from an unknown heart condition, but said further investigation would be conducted.
