As Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta takes over the chairmanship of the East African Community (EAC), his country is locking out maize and eggs imports from two partner states; Uganda and Tanzania.
Last week, Kenya’s department of Agriculture and Food Authority banned maize from Uganda and Tanzania. The reason is failure to maintain the required food hygiene standards. The department’s statement revealed they had discovered high levels of mycotoxin in the maize imports from Uganda and Tanzania that are consistently beyond safety limits.

Camp Simba enriches education for Kenyan students

The structure for the Magogoni Village primary school awaits further funding in order to be completed by volunteers from Camp Simba Charity and military members from Camp Simba Manda Bay in Lamu, Kenya, Dec 1, 2020.
