PLANS for eight homes in Burnham-on-Sea have caused uproar among residents. A planning application for the houses on Berrow Road, Burnham-on-Sea, was submitted in 2017 and approved in early 2018. Now, a reserved matters planning application has been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council (SDC), which includes the design details of the properties and the inclusion of 26 parking spaces. Although residents did not object to the outline planning permission in 2018, they have made multiple objections this year. Catherine Richardson, who lives on Berrow Road, believes there are many valid objections, but the main issues for residents nearby include an increase in noise levels, an increase in traffic, a flood risk and a loss of visual amenity.
