Chatham-Kent Council has approved the rezoning for a proposed gas station and convenience store at the site of the former Sweden Freeze restaurant. The next step will before the issue to come back to council to approve the site plan for the property. February 2, 2021 Flooding along Erie Shore Drive, October 25, 2017. Chatham-Kent Council is working on a long-term plan to deal with flooding and erosion on Erie Shore Drive. Council has approved the release of a request for proposal to hire a third-party engineering consultant to make a preliminary report to consider better use, maintenance and repair of any drainage works within the Burk Drainage Scheme, which includes the area around Erie Shore Drive. A preliminary report is thought to be the most logical approach because it will include high-level design concepts and cost estimates for the proposed work and how much landowners will have to pay.

Assistants are being sought by Kent Council Council (KCC) to help administer testing at 24 locations across Kent which are open daily from 9am to 7pm. A symptom-free Covid-19 testing site at Kemsley Village Hall near Sittingbourne The full-time positions are to be filled right away, and the staff earning £10 per hour will be expected to carry out a range of duties, including registering members of the public, ordering supplies and overseeing the swab testing process.

Kent Council Council built the mortuary at the back of its former county workshops in Beddow Way, Aylesford in April, during the first wave of the pandemic, but has confirmed it has been put into use from New Year s Day when the first body was stored there.
