In 2015, Kate Washington’s world changed. Her husband, Brad Buchanan, was late for family dinner. She found him in the bathroom, coughing up blood a lot of it. She handed him a bucket and asked the neighbor to watch their two young daughters while she drove him to the emergency room.

From the steps of Town Hall to NSW Parliament House, there was no silencing the women of Sydney as they marched for cultural change and sexual assault reform.
Hand painted placards and banners screamed slogans protesting the treatment of women in Parliament, the handling of sexual assault complaints and a womanâs right to safety.
