TROY, N.Y. â La Capital Tacos is open for business at 161 4th St. in Troy. The new restaurant, a partnership business with Sunhee s Farm and Kitchen just across the street, is not just the area s newest authentic Mexican taco shop. It s also the Capital Region s only tortillary.
At La Capital s recent ribbon cutting, owner Yair De La Rosa showed off his shop s brand new tortilla maker, imported from Mexico. The machine will allow the little shop to crank out pounds upon pounds of fresh, warm tortillas every day.
The tortillas won t just be used for the menu, they ll also be available wholesale. If you want to do a taco night at home, you can pick up the tortillas from La Capital Tacos. According to De La Rosa, that s the authentic Mexican way.

WAPELLO A formal resolution cutting the Louisa County Compensation Board’s Fiscal Year 2022 salary recommendations for the eight county elected positions by 64% was approved Tuesday by the board of supervisors during its regular weekly meeting.
The supervisors had earlier settled on the cut as part of the development of next year’s county budget, but the latest decision formally reduced the compensation’s board recommended 7% salary increase for auditor Sandi Elliott, treasurer Vicki Frank, recorder Tammy Hayes, attorney Adam Parsons to about 2.5%.
That is approximately the same increase the supervisors agreed to include on most county departmental budgets for next year.

WAPELLO The Louisa County Board of Supervisors’ review of departmental budgets and other proposed spending for Fiscal Year 2022 continued Wednesday during a day-long work session.
Ten spending plans were discussed with department heads and other individuals, bringing the total number of budget proposals reviewed by the supervisors since they began the process last week to 16.
The final set of reviews is scheduled for Friday.
Zoning administrators Bruce Hudson and Brian Thye led Wednesday’s review with their department’s planned FY22 spending.
Hudson said the proposed $62,600 would not include any increase in the $58,500 annual payment made by Louisa County to RUSS. The only increase in the proposal from FY21 spending was adding $200 for magazines, periodicals and books.
