Knights on Ice â Tuch It From:
Alex Tuch is on fire and Marc-Andre Fleury is smoking hot in the net. These two were instrumental in VGKâs 4-0 shutout of the San Jose Sharks last night at the SAP Center in San Jose. Vegas has 3 wins this season in 3 games at the SAP Center. The Sharks have just 2 home wins in 8 games played on their home ice. Overall, the VGKâs record is 7-0-2 at the SAP Center in the regular season, with a record vs. San Jose of 11-1-3. The once-heated rivalry is starting to lose some steam as the VGK are clearly the better team and the Sharks offer no bite at all when it comes to these games.
Max Pacioretty’s goal, his 2nd of the game at the 1:25 in overtime, saved the Golden Knights from what would have been a disastrous loss to the San Jose Sharks. It was Pacioretty 3rd winning OT goal this season as Vegas won the opening game of this back-to-back 2-game series
The Minnesota Wild created a fast-moving storm of goals in the 2nd period. Their first 2 goals came just 66 seconds apart and their 3rd and 4th goals just 19 seconds apart. Four goals in a period, especially the second, is a rarity for the Wild. Coming into the game

Pete DeBoer had seen enough after losing 2 games in a row, a first for him as the VGK coach. So he turned on his blender and created a milkshake with his entire teamâs lineup, top to bottom. Every one of the 18 skaters was playing with someone new. Some believed it was a quiet message to his team, though he claimed post game it was a message to the Colorado Avalanche. Iâm calling âfake news.â
You donât change your lineup as drastically as he did to send a message to the other team. You do something like this to get the attention of the team youâre coaching, a team that lost its offense over the last 3 games, scoring just 5 goals. Something had to be done. The VGK were playing a team that was poised to take 3 games in a row and make a bold statement as to who the best in the west is.
