Shift MP to hospital from jail, directs Andhra HC

Amaravati, May 16 : The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Sunday directed that rebel Narsapuram MP, K. Raghurama Krishnam Raju, be shifted from Guntur district jail to a private hospital.
After receiving a report from a lower court about the nature of MP s injuries, the high court took up the hearing and directed that he be shifted to the Ramesh Hospital.
Counsel of the rebel YSRCP MP told the court that its orders that doctors from Ramesh Hospital examine his injuries were ignored. He argued that CID officials met the petitioner when he was in custody, thus violating the law. After hearing the arguments, the high court directed that the MP be immediately shifted to the hospital.
VIJAYAWADA: Narasapur MP from Andhra Pradesh and YSRC rebel K Raghurama Krishnam Raju was on Friday arrested by Andhra Pradesh the CID on charges of sedition. CID officials said Raju had been “indulging in hate speeches against certain communities and promoting disaffection against the government.”
Raju, who has openly rebelled against CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, was picked up on his 60th birthday from his house in Hyderabad amid high drama after around 20 CID sleuths reached his doorstep. A video showing heated arguments between his associates and CID sleuths went viral.
Raju has been booked under sections of the IPC.He was taken to the CID headquarters in Mangalagiri from Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh police have arrested a rebel MP of ruling YSR Congress party K Raghurama Krishnam Raju on charges of sedition after he had filed a petition before a special court seeking cancellation of the bail of Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Raju, who represents Narsapuram constituency in Parliament was arrested in Hyderabad on Friday night and shifted to Criminal Investigation Department at Guntur.
A team of officials led by additional Director General Sunil Kumar questioned the MP last night and throughout Saturday. According to the sources the CID wanted to know the sources of his information on the basis of which he was making comments on the state government and the Chief Minister. The CID officials also wanted to know who was extending technical support to him.
