Former Andhra Pradesh Minister and TDP general secretary Bhuma Akhila Priya Reddy, who was granted conditional bail by a local court in Secunderabad on Friday, was released from Chanchalguda Women’s prison on Saturday.
She was received by her supporters from Allagadda in Kurnool district. Ms. Reddy left waving to the supporters from her car, and promised to disclose details about the Hafeezpet land dispute shortly.
The court ordered that the former Allagadda MLA be released on bail executing a bond of ₹10,000 with two sureties. Other conditions are that she appear before Bowenapally Station House Officer on alternative Mondays between 11 a.m. and 12 noon starting from February 2 and cooperate with further investigation.

Anticipatory bail plea of former Minister’s husband dismissed
The VIth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court in Secunderabad on Friday granted conditional bail to former Minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP general secretary Bhuma Akhila Priya Reddy in connection with the kidnapping of businessman K. Praveen Rao and his two brothers.
The court ordered that the former Allagadda MLA be released on bail executing a bond of ₹10,000 with two sureties. The other conditions are that she appear before Bowenapally Station House Officer on alternative Mondays between 11 a.m. and 12 noon starting from February 2 and cooperate with further investigation in the case. “The accused shall not threaten any of the victims and other witnesses in this case. Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party leader and former Andhra Pradesh minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, who was arrested on Thursday, is named the main accused for her alleged role in abducting three businessmen.
The police submitted the remand report to the court to this effect, stating that it was Akhila Priya who had hatched the plan to abduct the three persons – K Praveen Rao, K Sunil Rao and K Naveen Rao – from their residence on Tuesday night.
The three are known to be close relatives of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The three were kidnapped from their house on Tuesday night and were reportedly detained at a farmhouse. They said that they were made to sign some papers. The victims and the accused are currently in dispute over 50 acres of land in the city.
The three kidnapped – K Praveen Rao, K Sunil Rao and K Naveen Rao are said to be distantly related to the CM and cousins of KCR’s aide P Venugopal Rao. Praveen Rao is a former national badminton player.
