In what looks to be a first in terms of subscriber perks, Boost Mobile has announced that its $60 per month Unlimited Plus cellphone plan will come with access to to 24/7 telemedicine through K Health starting this summer.
Specifically, Unlimited Plus subscribers will get all of the features of K Health’s usual $9-per-month offering. That includes the ability to text chat or hop on a video call with a doctor through the K Health app, which uses the app’s AI suggestions to identify symptoms and potential ailments, and receive actual treatment, including medications and other prescriptions.

Boost Mobile Unlimited Plus plan adds free telehealth service perk
DISH’s prepaid wireless carrier Boost Mobile has added a new perk for customers who subscribe to its Unlimited Plus plan: free access to a telehealth service. These virtual ‘doctor visit’ apps have become increasingly popular, particularly amid the pandemic when many people are still concerned about risking a trip to the doctor’s office.
The telehealth service comes from K Health, which has partnered with Boost Mobile to offer Unlimited Plus subscribers access to the service for free. Other Boost Mobile subscribers will also get a deal regarding the telehealth app, but a far smaller one they’ll pay $8/month for access to the platform rather than its typical $9/month fee.

A study has found that people with symptoms of cardiovascular health issues, such as angina and heart palpitations, tend to drink less coffee, avoid coffee altogether, or drink decaf.
The scientists used a genetic technique to show that these symptoms determine the amount of coffee people drink, rather than the other way round.
The research casts doubt on observational evidence that drinking moderate amounts of coffee can benefit cardiovascular health.

Boost Mobile has added a new sign-on perk for subscribers of its Unlimited Plus plan: free virtual healthcare services through K Health.
The partnership between Boost Mobile and K Health gives the wireless provider’s customers and immediate families access to a range of telehealth care. K Health’s platform offers a text-based artificial intelligence-enabled symptom checker, virtual primary care, prescriptions refills and mental health support.
Boost Mobile will launch its telemedicine services this summer. They will be free for new Unlimited Plus subscribers and $7.99 per month for other Boost Mobile service plans.
