His solicitor, Patrick O Dea, tendered guilty pleas to a total of five charges. The first was on March 12 ,2020 when Matheson was stopped by police in Old Perth Road, Inverness and had cocaine in his possession. A urine test showed that it contained 16 times the permitted amount of cocaine in his system to drive. The reading was 800mcgs of Benzoylecognine, a metabolyte of cocaine excreted in the urine. The limit is 50mcgs.
