Le grand responsable des achats militaires au Canada prévient qu il n y a pas de « solution rapide » au problème de logiciel considéré comme la principale cause de l accident d hélicoptère qui a coûté la vie à six militaires l an dernier au large de la Grèce.
Deux enquêtes internes distinctes des Forces armées canadiennes ont révélé que le pilote automatique avait pris le contrôle de l hélicoptère Cyclone au moment où le pilote amorçait un virage pour atterrir sur son navire d attache le 29 avril 2020.
L appareil s est finalement abîmé dans la mer Ionienne. Le caporal-chef Matthew Cousins, les enseignes de vaisseau de 1re classe Abbigail Cowbrough et Matthew Pyke, ainsi que les capitaines Kevin Hagen, Brenden MacDonald et Maxime Miron-Morin ont tous péri dans l accident.
