Someone in a London-based data group, probably to get back at the U.S. for 1776, asked a little more than 1,200 Americans to rank the states.
Iowa did not rank well. In fact, every state Iowa touches outranked it.
The Hawkeye State was ranked 46 whereas South Dakota came in at 44, Minnesota came in at 24, Nebraska was ranked 34, Missouri came in at 43, Wisconsin came in at 38 and Illinois came in at 39.
