A frustrated hotel owner has been forced to close his doors for nine months as a result of Covid restrictions. Bertie Makolli, owner of the Ilfracombe Hotel in Southend, has not welcomed any guests into his hotel since mid-September. He doesn’t plan on reopening his doors until May next year after all of his bookings were cancelled.
