Bruins Drop Road Trip Finale in Philadelphia

Grzelcyk injured in Boston s 3-2 loss to Flyers on Saturday afternoon by Eric Russo @erusso22 / BostonBruins.com PHILADELPHIA - Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk scored but the Bruins dropped their road trip finale against the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon at Wells Fargo Center. Jeremy Swayman made his third straight start and stopped 20 shots in the loss, the first of his NHL career. I liked their effort, Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said of his club, who surrendered the winner to Sean Couturier at 6:59 of the third. Obviously, [the Flyers] have a lot to play for - every team does this time of year that s still in the mix. That certainly has something to do with it. We had a few breakdowns that they converted on. We didn t give up a whole lot. The goals they scored, can t fault Swayman.

Surveyor opens business in Salida during pandemic

Despite COVID-19 insecurity, Kevin Dean, a professional land surveyor, and his wife, Kat Jahnigen, recently opened Central Rockies Land Surveying in Salida. The business offers licensed and professional land surveying services throughout the central Colorado region. Dean worked for other surveying companies for 16 years and opening his own company was the logical next step. “Owning our own company allows us to contribute more directly to the community we call home,” Dean said. “We’ve lived in Salida four years but I’ve always worked for companies outside the area.” His background includes a number of high-profile civil infrastructure projects for which he has been a team leader, among then major Colorado airports, bridges and highway projects as well as private developments.

(erikjohnphotography/Shutterstock) comments When it comes to firefighting equipment it s easy to think of the big things fire engines, hoses and ladder trucks. But a hand-held device is one of the biggest lifesavers in firefighting. Thermal imaging cameras detect differences in temperature and display them on its screen. They allow firefighters to spot people by body heat. The cameras can see through smoke and detect fire hidden in walls, ceilings and floors.     Kevin Dean, a district fire chief with the Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency, said the equipment firefighters use has advanced over the past 30 years, but thermal imaging in my opinion would be at the top.
