It’s not just clever and catchy, but seems like a difficult number to do in duet under normal circumstances, let alone in isolation, opposite your phone. First of all, Ashley Park had never done a French accent before, and she sounds incredible. But it was all quite hard. It took some real breath control. It’s a patter song, really rapid fire. It was a lot of practicing, I just kept at it over and over. There are different components with the dialogue and the dance.

With an A-list cast. “The Prom” a Netflix original boldly blends serious social commentary with frivolous Broadway razzmatazz, and gets away with it because the Bob Martin/Chad Beuelin script cheekily acknowledges as much.
