Boise State Coach Bryan Harsin Is Reportedly Interested In Pac-12 Opening

Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin picked up right where Chris Peterson left off with the Broncos, maintaining their status as one of the elite Group of Five teams. But after seven years at his alma mater, he could be eyeing a job in the Pac-12.
According to Jason Scheer of WildcatAuthority.com, there is “mutual interest” between Harsin and the University of Arizona. The Wildcats fired head coach Kevin Sumlin earlier this week following an 0-5 campaign and three straight losing seasons.
Some might say that they knew immediately, when, in Kevin Sumlin’s first game as Arizona football coach, his Wildcats played like dookie. Sloppy and listless, unable to take advantage of late-game opportunities, and having to deal with a suddenly mercurial quarterback who quite obviously had seen his own picture on the cover of Sports Illustrated, the Wildcats lost to a barely average visiting BYU team. (BYU would go on to lose home games that season to Utah State and gulp! Northern Illinois.) The loss to BYU was bad enough putting the Cats in a hole from which they would struggle to emerge the rest of the season but what troubled some was Sumlin’s reaction to it. Or, more correctly, his lack thereof. Sumlin shrugged like a monk learning dinner would be crackers with no salt.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Arizona State won an emotional game last week, setting a record by scoring the most points ever in its 121-year series against Arizona.
In any other year, the annual Territorial Cup game would be the regular-season finale.
This, in nearly every aspect, is not a typical year.

Instead of preparing for a bowl game or the offseason, the Sun Devils have another game to close out the regular season.
The 70-7 win over Arizona last weekend was a huge moment for the program, not to mention Arizona State’s first win of this pandemic-affected season, but now the Sun Devils have to refocus for what should be a chilly Saturday night against Oregon State in Corvallis.

Another talented college football prospect has reportedly entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal.
Arizona quarterback Grant Gunnell entered the portal Thursday afternoon. His decision comes in the midst of the Wildcats’ search for their next head coach.
Arizona opted to move on from Kevin Sumlin last week after a horrendous three years. He went 9-20 during his stint with the Wildcats which included an 0-5 showing during the 2020 campaign.
