Some visitors at Pennsylvania casinos have had the ultimate luck.
They
left children in the car while they went into casinos. When they returned, the found their kids unharmed. The child wasn’t suffering from heat stroke. They didn’t choke on a handful of Cheerios. Their toddler didn’t decide to wander the parking lot and get struck by an SUV.
In 2020,
child endangerment. In nearly all instances, it was the result of
leaving children unattended in a vehicle.
Twenty-one children were left abandoned in vehicles at casinos in 2020.

The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, the bistate agency that oversees the movement of travelers, goods and services throughout the region and world, celebrates its 100th anniversary today.
The Authority was created by an act of Congress and the signing of a compact on April 30, 1921 for the creation of the Port of New York Authority. Cooperation between New York and New Jersey over these 100 years saw the creation of a sprawling network of international airports, tunnels, bridges, bus terminals, rail systems, an international seaport, and a global financial hub.

The most commonplace items of commuting an E-ZPass, a Metrocard and a token will be among the artifacts eventually unearthed from a thermos-sized time capsule, placed in a stone monument Friday morning to commemorate the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s centennial.
A section of original George Washington Bridge cables, recently replaced, and other smaller artifacts were included to represent the bi-state authority that built airports, four bridges, two tunnels, created the nation’s first container terminals, constructed two twin towers and their replacements after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Employees at John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport can now get vaccinated against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) without leaving their worksite.
On Wednesday, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced the opening of a pop-up employee vaccination center located within Terminal 5 at JFK Airport.
“We’re taking the steps today to make it easier for all in our airport community to have access to the vaccine,” said Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole. “While we continue to take all necessary precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19 through enhanced cleaning and using face coverings, vaccinations are also key to our recovery
