Missing mother Kelly Ju Zhang. (Victoria Police)
Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper said the search would be conducted through three essential phases involving mechanical and physical aspects, including the use of machinery and about 20 police members rummaging through waste. We are going to undertake a highly complex search out here, he said. Clearly it s a very complex environment in terms of a risk point of view.
Police have been able to narrow down the search of the tip to a very specific area through technology.
Detective Inspector Stamper said he remained hopeful the tip could provide police with answers. We re hopeful that the search this week will move us closer to ultimately being able to find Ju and give her family even a small amount of comfort that she s been located, he said.
