Comedy Central’s Drunk History is to return as an internet series, with a focus on telling stories from black history.
Stand-ups Jamali Maddix, Kevin ‘KG Tha Comedian Garry, Travis Jay, Desiree Burch and Thanyia Moore are among those who will be narrating the six, eight-minute episodes.
Originally a US creation, the British Drunk Histories ran for three series on Comedy Central’s TV channel from 2015 to 2017, narrated by Jimmy Carr.
Rapper, producer, and director Rapman who will introduce the new series, said: ‘My entire career has been focused on telling authentic, black stories. I’m excited to be a part of a show created by black people where viewers can be entertained while learning about these unsung back heroes.’
Card Brook Clean-up scheduled April 24
ELLSWORTH On Saturday, April 24, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, the city of Ellsworth will be hosting the annual Card Brook Clean-up. The event will begin in the parking lot on the right-hand side of the Hannaford supermarket in Ellsworth. Participants will meet at 9:30 in order to register, enter the raffle drawing and receive further instruction.
Volunteers should come prepared by wearing sturdy footwear that can get wet and muddy. Trash bags, facemasks, gloves, hand sanitizer, snacks and bottled water will be provided. A raffle will be held at the end of the event for a chance for volunteers to win gift cards to local businesses.

Gouldsboro Police Log Week of March 11
GOULDSBORO Susan A. Bouchard, 52, of Gouldsboro was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault (Class D) by Officer Adam Brackett after he responded to a report of domestic assault at an Ashville residence Feb. 23.
Vehicle-deer accidents
Kerri Taylor, 35, of Steuben was uninjured on March 3 when her 2020 Kia Sportage struck a deer on Route 1. The small SUV sustained significant damage to the front end and required towing. The deer was euthanized at the scene, according to Police Chief John Shively.
Patricia Moore of Gouldsboro was unharmed in a March 3 accident in which her Ford F-150 truck hit a deer on Route 1 near the Guzzle Road. The vehicle had non-reportable damage. The driver took the deer, according to Shively.
