Made under licence by Kerry Foods, the baking spreads duo has rolled into Morrisons stores today
Baking and cooking sauces brand Homepride has moved into the butters and spreads category for the first time with the launch of a new Baking Spread range.
Describing the move as a “natural expansion” of its product range, the Premier Foods-owned marque said the launch formed part of its ambition to become the number one brand in the baking category.
Homepride added that the move had been timed to coincide with the key Easter baking period and hoped to capitalise on the explosion in home baking seen over the past year. An extra 1.9 million (19%) shoppers bought into the cooking and bakery category over the past 12 months [Kantar 52 w/e 21 February 2021].

Burke is the latest Kerry executive to cross over to Noble after its appointment of Duncan Everett as CEO last year
Noble Foods has hired long-serving Kerry Foods executive Liam Burke as the MD of its consumer foods division.
He joined this month after what Noble described as an “illustrious” 33-year career at Kerry. Burke takes the reins of Noble’s shell egg, foodservice and agricultural businesses – with responsibility for major egg brands such as the Happy Egg Co and Purely Organic.
Burke has been credited with building up the Irish giant’s convenience business as boss of its private label grocery and meals division from January 2019 to December last year.
