Facing a post-COVID economy, Hernandez and several others in the local handicrafts market had to do more than pivot to survive.
They had to unite.
Hernandez and partner Wendy Stone cast a wide net, scouring the local area for fellow artists and crafters in the same boat. Together they snapped pictures and sold their wares from a makeshift artisans shop out of Hernandez s basement.
