The Christian County Fiscal Court met Tuesday morning for a regular meeting to vote on the first reading of the Fiscal Year 2021-22 Budget as well as approve a Fiscal Year 2020-21 budget amendment and a rural and secondary road fund request from the state to resurface several county roads.
Judge-Executive Steve Tribble presented the budget to the court and read several highlights for the next fiscal yearâs funding allocations, including increases to several funds, largely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tribble shared that the Fiscal Year 2021-22 increased by roughly $13.2 million compared to the current yearâs budget. The total overall budget for the next fiscal year is proposed to be at $42,351,221.
