The initial investigation indicated Brandon Chapman, 36 years old of Tomahawk, was electrocuted near an abandoned building off River Front Road. Brandon Chapman was pronounced deceased on scene by the Martin County Coroner’s Office. Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Pike County

/ WSIP AM 1490 | CBS Sports Feb 3, 2021 8:46 PM Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call on February 2, 2021, at 9:42 a.m. reporting a single vehicle collision had occurred on Stanley Road in the Pikeville community of Pike County. A trooper from Post 9 responded and began the investigation. The initial investigation indicated Randolph Coleman, 55 years old of Pikeville, was operating a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix on Stanley Road, when Coleman’s vehicle exited the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn. Randolph Coleman was pronounced deceased on scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office. Trooper Sheldon Thomas is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.

KSP Investigates Fatal Crash in Pike County

/ WSIP AM 1490 | CBS Sports Jan 22, 2021 8:07 PM Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call on January 21, 2021 at 3:05 p.m. reporting a commercial vehicle collision had occurred on KY Route 319 in the Hardy community of Pike County. Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Division responded and began the investigation. The initial investigation indicated James Hager, 48 year old of Inez, was operating a 1990 white Kenworth tractor trailer loaded with logs on KY Route 319 when he lost control, causing his vehicle to overturn. Hager was pronounced deceased on scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office. Debris from the vehicle struck a Chevrolet pickup parked in the driveway of a nearby residence. The owner of the Chevrolet pickup, Larry Stanley, 59 years old of Hardy, was inside of the vehicle, but did not sustain any injuries. KY Route 319 was shut down for several hours while emergency crews cleaned debris from the roadway.

Kentucky State Police Locate Deceased Male in Pike County

/ WSIP AM 1490 | CBS Sports Jan 12, 2021 6:30 PM Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call on Monday January 11, 2021 just before 1pm where the caller advised a possible deceased male had been located. KSP troopers responded to the area. The initial investigation indicated Timmy Stiltner, 42 year old of Elkhorn City was located deceased off the roadway on Beaver Creek Road. Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts responded and advised the death appeared to be of natural causes. No foul play is suspected.
