Vallejo PD seeks info on those responsible for shooting that left 2 hospitalized
VALLEJO Police turned to the community Friday for information about those responsible for a shooting Thursday that left two men hospitalized.
The shooting was reported at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Kentucky Street near Napa Street, the Police Department reports in a press release.
Officers who arrived there found two men who had been shot. They were transported to local trauma centers where they remained in serious but stable condition Friday, police report.
Ages and cities of residence were not released for the men who were shot.
The Police Department is asking anyone with information about the case to call Detective Scott Yates at 648-4533 or Detective Joel Caitham at 648-4280.

How is it possible that 1981 was 40 freakin’ years ago? It seems like yesterday that Rick James was singing about very kinky girls that you don’t bring home to mother, REO Speedwagon was singing about how they heard it from a friend who heard it from friend who heard it from another you’ve been messin’ around and Smokey Robinson was singing about how he didn’t care about anything else but being with you.
Sigh.

A Douglas County District Court judge has set a $1 million bond for a Lawrence man who is accused of murder.
Johnathon Lee West, 43, made his first appearance in court this week for a second-degree murder charge where the court set the cash or surety bond, Deputy District Attorney Joshua Seiden told the Journal-World. The court also appointed attorney Hatem Chahine to represent him. West remains in the Douglas County Jail, and his next court date is Tuesday.
The murder charge stems from the death of Jennifer Mosby, a 41-year-old Lawrence woman who was found dead in her home in January. Lawrence police announced the homicide investigation in a news release on Jan. 28, but little new information has been available about the case since.
