Schools in Windsor and Essex County will finally reopen Monday. The same day, Premier Doug Ford will likely announce he’s also reopening the economy. The provincewide lockdown and stay-at-home order also expire next week.

With two highly contagious COVID-19 variants circulating in Ontario and a lack of vaccine-thwarting immunization, we could face a difficult question. If COVID-19 cases rise again, what will our priority be? Schools or restaurants, bars, gyms and hair salons?
The first year JCSP class and the Transition Years of Kennedy College New Ross delivered joy by the giftbox loads to New Ross Community Hospital residents.
Under the guidance of Ms Meyler and Ms Sutton in Kennedy College the students worked together on a community initiative where they provided Christmas gift parcels to the residents of the long stay care home.
Each student wrote a letter and then prepared a gift hamper catering to each individual resident s interests. The packs included Christmas decorations which were produced by the students in the woodwork and art rooms, home baking, personal gifts, reading material and plenty of goodies.
