Neighbours found the 53-year-old with critical injuries.
A man s been charged with murder - and for assaulting several motorists and stealing their cars in the hours after the incident.
Stuff understands the victim has gang links. On Sunday morning, officers had cordoned off a section of Aldershot St. A neighbour, who lives across the road from the property, said she had heard a man screaming and yelling around 10pm last night. “I didn’t really pay much attention, that’s pretty normal for around here to be honest.” Another nearby resident described hearing “seven or eight loud bangs” around the time of the shooting, but thought it was someone setting off fireworks. The property is part of a complex owned by government social housing agency Kāinga Ora.
