NGHS officials told The Times that these cases and the recent $3 million judgment have not affected Dr. Andrew Green’s standing with the hospital nor his ability to perform surgery within the health system. A jury awarded the $3 million March 23 in the case of Frances Mitchell, a 42-year-old Jackson County woman who died five years ago after a surgery to remove a pelvic mass from her abdomen.

Myron Hershberger, 19, of the 900 block of West C.R. 360N, Shipshewana, was booked Friday, Feb. 12, to serve a sentence relating to an original charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
