OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) - Throughout Ocean Springs, campaign signs for the two candidates running for mayor, Kenny Holloway and Melanie Allen, are on almost every corner. The primary runoff election is on April 27 with the winner becoming mayor of Ocean Springs.
Both candidates know how important it is to campaign this week, and Holloway said he is focusing on sharing the values of his campaign with voters.

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) - Dozens of candidates spoke Thursday night as to why they should be a part of the new administration to lead the City of Ocean Springs forward.
A public forum was held for candidates running for office in the Discovery City to talk about their platforms. While the forum gave the chance for several candidates vying for aldermen, it also gave Ocean Springs’ mayoral candidates the chance to sway voters.
With the start of carnival season just around the corner whether to cancel or go through with Mardi Gras celebrations is a decision many have been debating.
