The Salisbury and south Wiltshire areas with rising cases

Coronavirus cases in Wiltshire have been rising again, and Salisbury is no exception. This might be down to the new, more infectious variant. However, its impact on the recent spike across the county is still unknown. In the latest 24-hour period, 127 cases were reported in the Wiltshire Council area - one of the biggest daily increases since the start of the pandemic. Specific data for Salisbury is not available but a map on the government coronavirus dashboard allows us to see how many cases have been reported in one particular area over a weekly period, the case rate per 100,000 and whether cases have gone up or down compared to the previous week.
