Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety for a Boonville man who is charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting a woman on May 23.
A probable-cause statement says a woman alleges Brandon Paul Oakes didn’t let her exit a vehicle, and when he did, he forcefully grabbed her hair and slammed her head into the pavement repeatedly, which caused injuries to her head and face. Authorities say the woman suffered bruising to her face, abrasions to her extremities and torso and injuries to her head and scalp.
According to court documents, Oakes is charged with a Class B Felony for Domestic Assault in the First Degree.
