REGIONAL Nobles County reported eight new cases of COVID-19 and Murray County added six new cases during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Rock County had three new cases of the novel coronavirus, while Pipestone County added three cases and Jackson County one, respectively.
Minnesota’s cumulative number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 now stands at 119,396, with 105,120 beyond the 10-day isolation period. There were 2,297 new cases of the coronavirus reported in the 24-hour period and 13 deaths.
Statewide, 2,212 individuals have now died from COVID-19, with another 53 people believed to have died from the virus but were not tested. Among the dead are 1,559 residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.
