Take a closer look at Arizona’s draft social equality statute (comments due today!)
Arizona’s cannabis regulatory agency, the Arizona Department of Health Services (hereinafter referred to as the “department”), has issued draft regulations for the Social Equitable Opportunity Program (“SEOP”). click here View the draft regulations. Comments on the draft regulations should be closed on May 16, 2021 (Sunday).
According to SEOP, Arizona will issue an additional 26 licenses. According to the Arizona Amendment Regulations (“ARS”), the SEOP regulations apply to:
Establish and implement a socially fair ownership plan to promote the ownership and operation of cannabis establishments… Community residents have a disproportionate influence on the enforcement of cannabis laws. ARS§36-2854(A)(9).
While the program could help some families that are struggling, the money may not last long. It could be one month or it could be six months, Mendoza said. It really depends on how soon the funding runs out.

Received a federal Pell Grant for this current year
Experienced a substantial loss of income since Feb. 29, 2020

Back to School program set

Eligible Van Wert County students in grades preschool - 12 (2021 - 2022
school year) will receive a $100 voucher for the purchase of shoes and
socks and a school spirit t-shirt for grades K - 12th. Eligibility is
based on family income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty
Guidelines.
Families must meet all PRC program eligibility rules.

On May 12, 2021, the Federal Communications Commission launched the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program.
The City of Laredo encourages citizens to apply for the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program, which will provide a temporary discount for eligible low-income households with Internet Service Providers including Charter Communications (Spectrum). This program is administered by the Universal Service Administrative Co. with oversight from the FCC.
The purpose for this program is to help qualified persons stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic and close the gap on the affordability side of the digital divide.
