Jay Inslee on Thursday urged Washington residents to do more to slow the spread of the coronavirus as the state continues to see what could be the start of a fourth wave. Besides wearing masks and getting vaccinated, he had a simple and easy piece of advice for people especially as the weather gets warmer: Take it outside. Unfortunately, there is strong evidence of a fourth wave potentially developing in the state of Washington, Inslee said during a news conference Thursday. We cannot and we will not wait until that wave engulfs us. We have to prevent this from taking over the state of Washington.

Several vaccine sites available despite Killeen hospital ending them

Earlier this week, AdventHealth-Central Texas announced that it would stop taking new coronavirus vaccine appointments after Friday. Despite this news, there are plenty of options for those who want one. Bell County has partnered with Curative to host large-scale vaccination sites beginning next week. Curative has conducted several large-scale testing clinics. James Stafford, the county’s spokesman, said that one of the large-scale sites in Killeen will begin next week at Leo Buckley Stadium on the campus of Killeen High School. The county will release more information in the coming days about how often the large-scale vaccine sites will operate and how to schedule an appointment.
