College of Education convocation July 21, 2021 Islamabad: The Federal College of Education, Islamabad organised a convocation ceremony to award its graduate students in hybrid mode. Degrees were conferred upon 66 bachelor’s and 47 postgraduate students. Federal education minister Shafqat Mahmood and secretary Farah Hamid Khan virtually participated in the convocation as the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively. FCE Director Prof. Dr. Samia Rehman Dogar sharing the history of FCE said that college was established in 1974 as a directorate of in-service teacher training and resource material centre. “Through in-service teacher training programmes, the FCE had trained more than 50,000 teachers throughout Pakistan.” She said the FCE was a unique institution of national integration having students from all over Pakistan with a mandate of pre-service and in-service teacher training programmes.
