LIMA The key to getting Ohio fully back to work during the coronavirus pandemic has more to do with what’s happening outside the workplace than in it, area business leaders said.
Still, local businesses are in a unique position to speed along the state’s economic and physical recovery, said Pat Tiberi, CEO of the Ohio Business Roundtable.

CHAMBER JOINS COALITION: The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber has joined with Ohio businesses and trade organizations to mobilize Ohioans to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Led by the Ohio Business Roundtable, employers announced the Coalition to Stop the Spread, an initiative that recognizes the risk COVID-19 poses to Ohio’s economy and the gains that have been made since the initial shutdowns of businesses and schools.
The coalition asks people to wear a mask, not just where it is mandated in public, but when gathering with any small friend or family group beyond your immediate household.
The coalition’s mission is in line with the chamber’s EMERGE program, launched last year to help local businesses emerge from the pandemic. Hundreds of businesses have received one-on-one assistance, personal protective equipment and regular updates through the program.
Preble Chamber joins Coalition to Stop the Spread
The past year in Ohio and across the country has been extremely difficult. The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on our livelihoods – on our families, our friends, and our businesses. No one has been immune to the effects of the pandemic, either in terms of health or economic hardship. With this being the case, every Ohioan continues to have a role to play in helping to stop the spread.
The Preble County Chamber of Commerce has joined the Coalition to Stop the Spread, an effort to mobilize and support the most effective champions in fighting the coronavirus – our strong Preble County businesses.
