“We’ll provide free bikes for all children of school age who can’t afford them..#BothVotesSNP.” Yes you read that right. No need for Scots to buy their children birthday presents this year, the government will do it for them. And if they already have bikes, they can always shove them on e-Bay. Winner! This egregious vote buying follows on from promises to buy every schoolchild a laptop, a £20 per week child payment, free school meals for all….I had better stop, lest it induces apoplexy in Daily Telegraph readers, most of whom will be funding this largesse, whether they live in Bude or Bute. The final insult is the SNP’s announcement that Scottish tax rates will be frozen.

A thorough virtual discussion on diversity, inclusion, and the intricate ways in which racism impacts people in Canada was hosted by the Coalition for Unity, Respect, Equality/Equity for All (CUREA) on Thursday evening.
Hosted by CUREA co-founder and president Stacey Ottley, the event focused on three distinct issues terminology and definitions, the impact systemic racism has on individuals, and clarifying what being an ally actually means.
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was among those paying tribute north of the border. She tweeted: “I am saddened by news that the Duke of Edinburgh has died. I send my personal and deepest condolences – and those of @scotgov and the people of Scotland – to Her Majesty The Queen and her family.” Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross said: “In the middle of a political campaign, this is a reminder of what’s most important in life. “We have lost a tremendous public servant who for decades served his Queen and country. My heartfelt condolences are with Her Majesty and all of the Royal Family.
