Governor deserves better
Thanks Bill Cotterell for taking 60 minutes to task for their slanted, misleading reporting. Too bad the News Press didn’t have the courtesy to put the article on the front page. Seems they never miss that chance when the article is negative toward the Governor.

Wendy s needs to step up
I notice that the Coalition of Immokalee Workers is currently conducting a “Demanding Dignity for Farmworkers” Week of Action. It nudges me to report that I have not purchased products from Wendy s in the past several years, this because the firm is the only one of the top fast food chains to not participate in the Fair Food Program.
The Coalition of Immokalee Workers organized a protest near a North Naples Wendy’s as a push to get the fast-food company to join the Fair Food Program.

President Biden s CDC director made a striking statement for a federal official Thursday. Racism, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, is a serious public health threat that directly affects the well-being of millions of Americans.
Walensky pointed to the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on communities of color, and noted that there are long-standing structural barriers â like where someone lives and works and where their children play â that impact racial and ethnic groups differently. These social determinants of health have life-long negative effects on the mental and physical health of individuals in communities of color, Walensky said.
