(Seguin) – Texas Lutheran Women’s Basketball will play in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal round for the seventh time in eighth years when the team faces Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colo. this Saturday.
Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. MST / 2 p.m. CST on March 13 in Colorado College’s Reid Arena.
TLU (5-3, 5-3 SCAC) is the No. 3 seed. Colorado College (6-2, 6-2 SCAC) is the No. 2 seed. The Bulldogs and Tigers did not face each other in the SCAC regular season.
The winner of Saturday’s semifinal will face the winner of the Sunday semifinal between No. 1 seed Trinity and No. 5 seed Austin College, the defending conference champion. Trinity and Austin play at 4 p.m. Sunday in San Antonio.

New York Life to continue as official presenting sponsor of the Pac-12 Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournaments as well as an official sponsor of Pac-12 Olympic sport championships
SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 announced today an extension of its partnership with New York Life. With the extension, New York Life will continue as the Pac-12’s official life insurance partner and official presenting sponsor of the 2021 Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments in Las Vegas, as well as an official sponsor of Pac-12 Olympic championship events, including beach volleyball, cross country, women’s gymnastics, men’s and women’s golf, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s rowing, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s tennis, track and field and wrestling. Today’s announcement continues New York Life’s partnership with the Pac-12, which began during the 2014-15 season and was previously extended during the 2017 season.
Nigerian male team to face Australia
The official draw of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Basketball Tournaments for both men and women’s competitions took place yesterday at FIBA headquarters, the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball.
Nigeria’s female team, D’Tigress, were drawn in Group B, where they will battle Japan, France and USA.
Their male counterparts, D’Tigers, who are also Tokyo bound, were also drawn into Group B where they will face Australia.
The other opponents of D’Tigers will emerge after the qualifiers that were postponed due to Covid-19.
The qualifiers would run from June 29-July 4 in Victoria, Canada.
