Brees vs. Brady meet for first time in NFL Playoffs
The New Orleans Saints will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the third time this season in Sunday’s Divisional Round matchup. A gift from the football gods gives fans the first playoff meeting between superstar quarterbacks Drew Brees and Tom Brady, the oldest QBs in the league.
The Saints have defeated the Bucs twice this season, 34-23 in Week 1 and 38-3 in Week 9. While New Orleans has outscored Tampa nearly 3-1, Brady is a maestro in the postseason, having played in the Super Bowl nine times, winning six NFL championships. There is no guarantee that past glories will lead to future victories. Still, the Saints have to feel good about their performances against their NFC South division rival. In their two games this season, New Orleans outscored Tampa 72-26. Brady was limited to two touchdown passes, while the Saints D collected six sac

Saints look to slay the “Monsters of the Midway”
The New Orleans Saints are marching into the 2020 NFL Playoffs with the No. 2 seed in the NFC and a Wild Card matchup with the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. It will be the second time the teams will face each other this season. The Saints defeated the Bears 26-24 in overtime at Chicago’s Soldier Field in Week 8.
The Bears have had an up-and-down season, starting 5-1, then losing six, and finishing 3-1, including a 35-16 loss to the Packers on Sunday to finish 8-8 and earn the NFC’s No. 7 seed.

NFC South crown tops Saints’ wish list
It won’t be do or die for the New Orleans Saints when they host the Minnesota Vikings in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Friday, but a win and its implications would bring a lot of holiday cheer to the Black & Gold Nation.
A Christmas Day victory would allow the Saints to win their fourth-straight NFC South title and hold on to the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff race. As a bonus, it would also squelch Minnesota’s postseason chances. That would be a nice turn of events considering the Vikings have knocked the Saints out of the playoffs in two of the last three seasons. But the Vikings would love to play Grinch once again by handing the Saints their third straight loss and denying them from claiming the division crown.

Saints looking to get back on track
After a week of chill in the air and spirits of Saints fans, news broke this morning that quarterback Drew Brees will play Sunday after missing the last four games with 11 fractured ribs and a punctured lung. Brees’ return comes ahead of one of the most anticipated games of the 2020 NFL regular season. In what could be a preview of Super Bowl LV, New Orleans hosts the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, as they look to get back on track after playing their worst game of the year and snapping a nine-game win streak.
