Retailers with stores across North Staffordshire have issued a number of product recalls for reasons including labelling issues and possible contamination.
Details have been released by the Food Standards Agency which has revealed Morrisons, Asda, Tesco and M&S have all had to issue recalls for various items.

Asda, Tesco, Iceland and Morrisons among supermarkets urgently recalling products Major supermarket chains, including Asda, Iceland, Morrisons and Tesco are warning customers about possible health risks from items they have bought in stores. Pieces of glass, food allergies, and Hepatitis A are just some of the reasons that supermarkets have been forced to recall their products. Greggs recalls Vegetable Bakes Greggs is recalling Vegetable Bakes (2 pack) because the product may contain small pieces of green glass. The possible presence of glass makes this product unsafe to eat. This product is exclusively sold in Iceland stores and does not affect the products sold in Greggs.

In total, Portugal received an impressive five Best in Show, 11 Platinum and 25 Gold medals across all styles of wine, and while fortified wines Port and Madeira tend to perform well year on year, it was Portugal’s top-scoring dry red wines that greatly impressed.

Showing top quality at every price point, both value and premium red wines topped the list with two Best in Show, seven Platinum and six Gold medals – all from the Douro and Alentejo. In comparison, at the 2019 competition not one red wine received a Platinum medal, and only one red from the Douro and two from Alentejo received a Gold.
