Wednesday s Steamy Weather Could Cause Severe Storms In Maine

For the last few days, we have been hearing about how we were going to see crazy hot (some would say scorching ) temperatures in Maine on Wednesday.  Now, it looks like those steamy temps are going to lead to some nasty weather later in the day. According to meteorologists at WGME, temperatures on Wednesday morning will be in the 70s in most part of the state.  By Noon, they ll reach the upper 80s or lower 90s in many in-land parts of the state. Those temperatures, mixed with a high level of humidity, could lead to severe thunderstorms, hail, and possibly even a tornado, throughout the majority of the afternoon.  We could see the nasty weather any time between 1 PM and 8 PM.
