Owner refuses to sell Raj Kapoor mansion for Rs15m

PESHAWAR: Owner of Indian film legendry actor Raj Kapoor’s ancestral house refused to sell the house for Rs15 million. The landlord demanded Rs2 billion from the government. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has fixed the total value of Raj Kapoor’s house around Rs15 million.
The PTI government had decided to buy the ancestral homes of Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor in Peshawar and convert them into museums. The district administration had enacted Section Four for the purchase of both ancestral houses. An amount of Rs24 million has been released to the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday for the purchase of both the houses.
Smart lockdown imposed in five more areas

PESHAWAR: In the wake of spike in coronavirus cases and to contain its further spread, the district administration has decided to impose smart lockdown in five more areas of District Peshawar.
According to the administration, smart lockdown will be imposed in Yakatoot, Warsak road area, street 2.3.4.5.6 phase IV , street 1, 2 phase III Hayatabad and Khushal town area. Phase-5, Gul Abad No-2 and Sikandar Town. The lockdown would start from 6 pm The Administration has also issued a notification regarding imposition of the smart lockdown according to which any entry or exit would totally be banned in these areas during the lockdown.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Several neighborhoods in Peshawar will be placed under a smart lockdown by the district administration at 1800 hours on Saturdy amid an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the city.
According to the notification, a smart lockdown will be imposed in several areas including Hayatabad Phase IV and III, Warsak Road, Khushal Town and Yakatoot Bazar.
On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 45 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 516,770. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 10,908 on Saturday.
