Kyocera has always been a name known for rugged phones. We didn’t feature a new model last year but the company has just announced a new one: the Kyocera DuraForce Ultra 5G UW. This device is considered as the first ultra-rugged Android smartphone for Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband Network. It’s not exactly a premium flagship phone offering but it runs on the latest Snapdragon 765G mobile processor that offers 5G connectivity already. It is one durable smartphone too as promised by its military standard 810H rating protection.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor ready for more mid-rangers

A new Snapdragon 600 series mobile processor has just been introduced by Qualcomm. The Snapdragon 678 is the newest mid-range chipset that can bring high-speed mobile connection and impressive overall performance to upcoming smartphones from different OEMs. Qualcomm describes the new Snapdragon SoC as able to bring
“advanced mobile capabilities for daily entertainment at lightning-fast speeds over reliable connections and long-lasting battery life for consumers worldwide.” With this new processor, we can expect more mid-rangers will be able to deliver more impressive mobile experiences.
Snapdragon 678 is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 675 processor from 2018. This one comes with a Qualcomm Kryo 460 CPU and Qualcomm Adreno 612 GPU. The mobile processor allows longer battery life, more immersive entertainment, and dynamic photography and videography features.

Qualcomm has announced the Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor, a follow-on to the Snapdragon 675, to deliver overall performance upgrades, high-speed connections for sophisticated photo and video capture, and immersive entertainment experiences as per the chipset maker.
With the new Snapdragon 678, Qualcomm has included an improved Qualcomm Kryo 460 CPU and Qualcomm Adreno 612 GPU to enable faster, more robust on-device interactions.
