It s been over five years since she left the SABC 1 soapie, Uzalo.
And now she s recently joined the cast of the second most-watched drama, eHostela. She plays Nellie, a sassy, street-smart girl living with her single father Vovo, played by Ernest Msibi.
Singer and Actress Thandeka Zulu (28) is inspired by Nellie’s independence and couldn’t be more thrilled about her new role.
“Nellie is a fearless and brave girl. She is independent not by choice but because of her upbringing without her parents. She turned herself into a bad girl and a hustler.”
Thandeka is happy to be back on screen playing another major role.

WHILE everyone was being spoilt with flowers and chocolates over the weekend, reality TV star Zodwa Wabantu blessed herself with a brand new set of wheels.
The media personality, who’s shooting the second season of her reality show, bought herself a Lamborghini.
Not being able to contain her excitement, she took to social media to show off her new wheels.
In the video, Zodwa can be seen dancing next to a white Lamborghini that has a big bow on top.
Self-proclaimed king of sushi Kenny Kunene, who recently recruited her into his political party Patriot Alliance, can be heard congratulating her from the background.

IT is rumoured some old faces will return to popular SABC1 soapie, Uzalo.
This comes after the show lost some of its top actors.
Insiders said producers were worried the show might lose its viewership with Thandeka Dawn King, Baby Cele and Siyabonga Shibe leaving the show.
Insiders told Daily Sun Khaya Dladla, Nokuthula Mabika, Naymaps Maphalala and Ntokozo Dlamini would return.

“Uzalo negotiated with these actors to come back to keep the show alive and they agreed,” said the insider.
