Fifteen-year-old Nya Brown left her home on a Sunday evening nearly two weeks ago, leaving behind her cellphone and debit card. She hasn’t been seen since.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has now joined the Belmont Police Department in the search for the missing teenager, who was last seen at 6 p.m. on Jan. 17, according to authorities.
A spokesperson for the FBI Boston Division confirmed the agency’s Child Exploitation-Human Trafficking Task Force is assisting the department in its search for the Belmont girl.

Belmont police confirmed in a brief statement Thursday that 15-year-old Nya Brown had been found.
The statement said she âhas been located and is reunited with her family. The Belmont Police would like to thank the numerous law enforcement agencies and individuals who helped to locate Nya. There will be no further comments from the Belmont Police on this incident.â
Kristen Setera, a spokeswoman for the FBI Boston field office, which had assisted in the search, released a separate statement Thursday afternoon.
